Dear Natick voters: I am running for re-election for the one Selectmen's seat on the ballot at the March 27, 2012 Town Election, and I ask for your strong support so that I may continue to provide leadership, results, integrity and accountability for our great community.  I have been honored to serve on the Board since 2006 through good times and challenges, and I want to keep my energy, skills and ideas at work for our town and our future.

I hope to earn your support based on...

Leadership: I make things happen at the local, regional and state level by setting clear goals, working effectively with other people and organizations, and achieving results that make a difference.

Innovation: I am always willing to push for new thinking and smart solutions, and believe in planning today for a better tomorrow.  Natick has many talented and enthusiastic citizen volunteers and professional staff; I actively encourage civic participation and professional excellence to invigorate our community and unleash our creativity and potential.

Respect: I try to bring out the best in others, while respecting the laws and process that are fundamental to our system of government.  I get things done by working constructively with a positive attitude.

Practicality: I make progress with issues that matter to people.  Transportation and safety, smart hiring, encouraging Natick business to expand and hire locally, controlling municipal insurance costs to stretch tax dollars, honoring veterans and their families, promoting programs that save taxpayers and residents money, or working with utilities to improve and extend service – these are things that really make a difference.

Advocacy: I am recognized as a leader who gets things done within and across town borders and for the benefit of the region and the state as a whole.  I have been chosen by local leaders from across the state to lead the Massachusetts Municipal Association; I have successfully advocated for statewide reforms that benefit Natick; I have worked to advance key projects in Natick, and have resolved problems for residents all across town.

I have a proven track record of achieving results.  If re-elected in 2012, I will keep bringing my leadership, innovation, respect, practicality and advocacy to work for you.  I will always work hard on problems large and small – from budgets and buildings to pathways and potholes.  I will look ahead to Natick’s future while energetically attending to the everyday matters that come before the Board.

I love serving people and I ask for your support to continue my work on the Board of Selectmen.  That takes a winning campaign, and I want you to be on my team.  I welcome your
endorsement, your volunteer efforts and your donation. Thanks for helping out!
